Week 5 Breakdown & 2.28.12 WOD

Can you believe we are over half-way through our 8 week cycle?  If you have not already experienced some PR's just be patient, I promise they are comming in the next few weeks.  This week we pick up the volume and intensity after our deload last week.  You should be approaching technique breakdown and failed attempts by the final reps of the last few working sets.  Remember the Rep-Max sheet available in the Training Card Section of the Blog.  This can be used if your old 1RM's are not very accurate anymore.  If you have questions on how to properly use it just ask Jeff or me and we will go over it with you.  All the training cards have been updated, so feel free to take a look.  I will have some video critiques of the Split Jerks from last week posted tomorrow, so be sure to check back in and watch them.

We selected exercises for Monday's session giving consideration to the sore shoulders, tris, lats, and wrists that many of you may still have from Open wod 12.1 this weekend.  We want you to be able to get in and have a productive training session regardless of how many times you attmpted 12.1 over the past few days.  So get in the gym and train hard!  This is just another week to get better and become a stronger and more powerful athlete.

Here is our Tuesday WOD for this week:
3 Rounds
6-Strict Chin Ups
12-Hand Release Push Ups
18-Ball Slams (40/25)
24-Double Unders

Finally, here are some training highlights from the crew at California Strength as they get ready for Nationals (which take place this weekend).
