Welcome



Welcome to the Crossfit RED Weightlifting Blog.  This is where we will post updates and information about the Oly Club; as well as info related to any clinics, camps, or competitions that you guys might be interested in.  While we are all crossfitters, this blog will obviously focus on Olympic lifting, but we will also include info on other strength and power intensive sports and activities.

This blog will also serve as a learning tool for everyone.  There are a lot of links to sites that are packed full of valuable information at the bottom of the page.  In addition to these links we will be posting pictures and videos of our club members (as well as world class lifters) and including a short critique with some coaching points.  If a picture or video of you ends up on this blog do not take the critique personally, rather use it as a tool to learn from.  We will post critiques that point out positives as well as faults, and everyone will have their turn.  Odds are that we all have some of the same faults in our technique, and therefore we could all benefit from these posts.

On the right hand side of the blog is where everyone will find their daily training cards.  Simply click on your name and you will be linked to a spreadsheet document that contains your daily training prescription.  Click on the tab for the appropriate date and you will see the workout for that day.  At the top of the sheet there are three yellow squares where you will input your 1RM's and the reccomended loads will automatically fill in on the sheet.  Then you can print it up and bring it to the gym with you.  I would highly reccomend you invest in a 3 ring binder so you will be able to keep your training cards and gradually build a training journal.

We will cover things in a little more detail at the Oly Clinic on Jan 29th, and answer any questions that you may have.  Train hard and GROW STRONGER.
